CRYSTAL RUN HEALTHCARE OPENS AUDIOLOGY DEPARTMENT, ADDS TO A GROWING LIST OF SERVICES

Middletown, N.Y. – August 17, 2009 – On July 27, Crystal Run Healthcare opened its new Audiology Department, located on the third floor of the practice’s newest building, 95 Crystal Run Road in Middletown. Audiology is a branch of science, which deals with the study of hearing, balance and related disorders through tests and treatment through hearing aids.

Brenna M. Carrigan-McClinsey, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA a Doctor of Audiology and New York State Licensed Audiologist will head the Audiology Department at Crystal Run. Brenna holds a Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences, a Master of Arts in Communication Disorders, and a Doctor of Audiology Degree. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Language- Hearing Association and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Carrigan-McClinsey has experience with a range of pediatric and adult patients, as well as special needs populations.

Audiology services offered at Crystal Run Healthcare include: Comprehensive Audiological Testing for adults and pediatrics including newborns; Electrophysiological testing (Otoacoustic Emissions & Auditory Brainstem Response); Videonystagmography testing; Hearing aid evaluation, fitting/dispensing, and analyses as well as Assistive devices/Custom hearing protection.
