West Nyack, N.Y. – August 23rd, 2016 – On Wednesday, August 10th, Crystal Run Healthcare was joined by Town of Clarkstown Town Supervisor, George Hoehmann, New York State Assemblyman, Kenneth Zebrowski, New York State Senator, David Carlucci, Representative for NYS Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, Peter Harckham, and President & CEO of Rockland Economic Development Corporation, Richard M. Struck, for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official grand opening of its new, two-story, 70,000 square foot medical facility that opened in West Nyack.  Over 250 guests were present at the event, including representatives from area businesses, hospitals, Rockland County residents, local dignitaries, and Crystal Run Healthcare physicians and staff.

“Not only will this facility bring new jobs to the area, but it will deliver high-quality medical care in a way that hasn’t been done before,” said Town of Clarkstown Town Supervisor, George Hoehmann.  “Congratulations to Crystal Run, who will become a quick staple of our community.  You’ve created a special place that will help residents and people who come to our region for years to come.”

“As a government office that oftentimes assists folks with healthcare issues, we hope to build a collaborative relationship with Crystal Run and know that in the next years and decades to come, Crystal Run will be providing the most important thing to the people of Rockland County - a positive experience in terms of getting healthcare and getting healthy,” explained New York State Assemblyman, Kenneth Zebrowski.

“Healthcare has to keep up with society in order to keep evolving and that’s exactly what Crystal Run continues to do. We’re excited to be neighbors and to be a part of the community with Crystal Run, who is on the cutting edge of healthcare,” said New York State Senator, David Carlucci. “As a member of the community and also a parent, I feel better knowing that we have this facility, along with this medical technology, right in our backyard. I look forward to working with Crystal Run in delivering healthcare in an efficient and affordable way that will be preventive and save lives in the future.”

“On behalf of Governor Cuomo, I want to say that when government works together with local, state, legislative and the executive branch, we can successfully work with a private sector to create jobs and advance state-of-the-art healthcare.  And this facility is witness of that.  Thank you to all for your hard work and vision in coming together – this is really a magical facility,” mentioned Peter Harckham. “On behalf of the Governor, thank you and good luck.”

“I join everyone in welcoming Crystal Run Healthcare to Rockland County in a very big way.  This new facility that will provide easy access and a one stop shop for healthcare epitomizes Crystal Run’s commitment to Rockland County,” said Richard Struck, President & CEO of Rockland Economic Development Corporation. “We believe that Rockland County every day is improving its position as a great location for new business, for job creation and tax base enhancement from business customers, and this facility is a perfect example of that.  Let’s celebrate the opening of this new facility and welcome Crystal Run Healthcare as a full partner in this exciting and vibrant community we call Rockland County.”

“Crystal Run is not about doing more things to people, it’s about accomplishing more things for the people we serve – that is our concept of healthcare,” explained Managing Partner and CEO of Crystal Run Healthcare, Hal Teitelbaum, MD, JD, MBA.  “As physicians, we have a unique role to play in the healthcare system as advocates of patient welfare.  That role is not an option.  It’s about an oath that we took as physicians and about an obligation that doesn’t begin and end when we enter the exam room or operating room.  It begins with being a part of and helping to create a high-value, sustainable healthcare system.  With the opening of this new facility, more Rockland County residents will be able to receive medical care conveniently in their own community.  By stemming out-migration for healthcare services, we expect that our presence here will have a strong positive effect on the hospitals in Rockland County.”
