Middletown, N.Y. – August 20, 2013 – Crystal Run Healthcare is happy to welcome Drs. Nicholas and Lisa Batson to the practice’s new Psychiatry division. Both Drs. Nicholas and Lisa Batson are Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and are Fellowship-trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The Batsons will lead Crystal Run’s new Psychiatry division that serves children, adolescents and adult patients that suffer from conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorders and developmental disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and adults, disruptive behavioral disorders and psychotic disorders. As with many other specialties at Crystal Run, Psychiatry will be an integral part of the patient-centered medical home model of care that emphasizes the importance of treating psychological conditions as part of a patients overall treatment plan. Plans to expand the Psychiatry division at Crystal Run will include the addition of Psychologists that will further expand this patient-centered medical home team approach to care.
Dr. Nicholas Batson earned his BA from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY and earned his Medical Degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Cupecoy St. Maarten. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC and completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. Dr. Nicholas Batson is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry.
Dr. Lisa Batson earned her BS from Quinnipiac University School of Health Sciences in Hamden, CT and earned her Medical Degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Cupecoy St. Maarten. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC and completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. Dr. Lisa Batson is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry.
