What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
The idea of devoting myself to medicine came to me partly from my family tradition and partly from my academic environment.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
Pediatric Endocrinology is an extremely dynamic medical field, with enormous recent advances in treatment and outgoing research trying to unravel endocrine's mysteries.
How do you connect with your patients?
I try to connect with patients on a very personal level, treat patients, not diseases.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I like active sports, I'm a huge basketball fan, and am actively involved in Olympic-style target shooting.
What is your advice for your patients?
Just like most things in life, balance and moderation together with an active lifestyle are key to good health.
