What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I wanted to be a doctor because I was always interested in science and in teaching. I listed my ambition to be a doctor in my 8th grade yearbook.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love the general diversity of patients that I see in urgent care. I chose my specialty of internal medicine because I wanted the opportunity to work both in the hospital and in the outpatient setting.
How do you connect with your patients?
I try to understand the full picture of how a patient presents to me, including their social and psychological factors.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I love landscaping and zumba.
What is your advice for your patients?
Prevention is the best medicine. I try to educate people about the best ways to live a healthy lifestyle.
