What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I wanted to become a Physician Assistant because I enjoy helping others and I liked the team aspect between a PA and their supervising physician.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love Orthopedics because it is one of the few specialties that allows a provider to see patients from beginning to end. Often we are the first to diagnose the patient, provide a treatment plan and see them all the way through their follow-up and healing.
How do you connect with your patients?
I would say I connect best with my patients through listening and explaining. It is essential to allow a patient to give a thorough history, as well as making sure a patient is fully informed and understands what is going on.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I enjoy being outdoors whether it is hiking, skiing or sitting on the beach.
What is your advice for your patients?
Listen to your instincts.
