What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I always enjoyed helping others whey they were ill or crying. I would find help or get band-aids as a young child. I knew from elementary school I was going to become a doctor.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose gastroenterology because of the benefit of screening, early detection and treatment. I love both seeing patients and performing procedures.
How do you connect with your patients?
I love interacting with my patients and finding out about their families, travels, jobs. As a new mom myself, I often ask about their children or grandchildren.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
What is your advice for your patients?
Try to maintain a balance in your life - Eat healthy, exercise and have fun.
