What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I was in elementary school when I realized that our town physician made a big difference in the general health of my family and my community.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I feel that I am more of an obstetrician than a gynecologist. Delivering babies has always been magical to me.
How do you connect with your patients?
Look them in the eyes. Be honest with them. Let them know and feel you will give them your very best care.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
First and foremost, I like to spend time with my family. When I have extra time, I like to read, travel, do some Tai Chi and recently, I have delved into photography.
What is your advice for your patients?
For themselves, their babies and families, use good common sense.
