What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
One summer, I worked at United Cerebral Palsy of Manhattan; where I met a highly skilled nurse who shared her love of nursing with me.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love caring for people and their families. I love building trusting, non-judging open relationships with my patients.
How do you connect with your patients?
I always try to get to know my patients on a personal level. I actively listen to them and acknowledge their successes, fears or concerns. I also share my experiences with them when appropriate.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I enjoy camping, hiking, spending time with my family, reading, baking and dancing.
What is your advice for your patients?
I encourage patients to be active participants in their care. Be proactive rather than reactive.
