What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I've always wanted to be in health care. I decided on psychology during my undergraduate studies.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love being able to get to know my patients personally and assisting them with issues and challenges in their lives. I chose psychology because human behavior is always fascinating and ever-changing.
How do you connect with your patients?
I am able to spend time learning patients' life histories, which allows me to connect with them one on one.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Spending time with family, yoga, reading, hiking
What is your advice for your patients?
Set small achievable goals when establishing new health routines to avoid overstress and help you succeed. Step up small goals until you reach your final goal. Asking for help is a sign of strength.
