What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I wanted to be a doctor because I love to talk with people and I want to help them. I get great satisfaction from that. I also love to keep in touch with the changes in medical technology and the impact that has on our lifestyle.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
The patients have a different way of looking at life with different perspectives. Most of the patients in my specialty are older than 65, they have many experiences. I love to share those experiences with them.
How do you connect with your patients?
I let them speak and then I discuss their concerns with them. I ask if they understand, and whether or not there are any other questions or concerns.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Reading books, watching movies, and listening to music.
What is your advice for your patients?
Ask questions about your health and medications. Be informed all the time.
