What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I grew up in a family of physicians and it was the only profession I ever thought of pursuing.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love that I can see a wide range of ages and I am able to do procedures. I love the complexity of pathology that is possible in dermatology as well.
How do you connect with your patients?
I really enjoy my interactions with my patients - I learn so much from them, not just in my profession but about life.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I love my family and cherish every minute with my husband and daughters- they teach me something new every day about myself and life- they are the loves of my life. I love to read and exercise. If I had more time, I would travel more with my wonderful husband.
What is your advice for your patients?
I really try to stress the importance of taking the best care of your body as well as your skin - nutrition/sleep/exercise/sun protection. I teach them to pay attention to their body and trust their instincts about the signals their body gives them.
