What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
It is a privilege to be a part of a young person's life and to help them navigate the changes that being an adolescent can bring. I enjoy treating the whole person and establishing rapport and a connection with them.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
Working with adolescents enables the provider to be an active part of a young person's life, as they develop from a pre-teen into an adult. This provides an exciting opportunity and assists teens as they face the challenges and changes that adolescence can pose.
How do you connect with your patients?
The key to a good connection is being a good listener. I am also empathetic and believe in a strong patient-physician relationship.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Family, yoga, meditation, and running.
What is your advice for your patients?
To be honest with their physicians and consider your provider to be a part of their wellness and overall health.
