What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I've always loved caring for others. As a child, I used to "help" my Grandfather treat his Diabetes. The science of how our bodies work has fascinated me since I was young. Now, I love helping people live their best life through finding health and wellness.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I enjoy caring for people of all ages, and over the course of many years. Originally, I wanted to be able to see entire families in one visit so I knew that kids and their parents were being cared for. It has grown into a passion for taking care of one person at a time while incorporating the entire family.
How do you connect with your patients?
I love learning their story. Where has life taken them? What have they learned along the way? What drives them in life? Learning.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Yoga (I'm a registered Yoga teacher), being outdoors, painting and spending time with my family.
What is your advice for your patients?
Take care of yourself first. If your cup is empty, you can't fill anyone else's.
