What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I have wanted to be a doctor since the age of 5. My mom is a doctor, and I knew that her job was to help people. Later, as a teenager, I shadowed her at work and I knew it was what I wanted to do.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love treating patients in all different settings and the continuity of care that Internal Medicine provides.
How do you connect with your patients?
I listen to them. I get to know their lives, problems (health & otherwise).
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Travel, cooking, and reading.
What is your advice for your patients?
Usually in regards to diet and exercise. I also try to speak about stress management.
