Welcome to cardiology at Crystal Run. At Crystal Run, our cardiology team is dedicated to protecting you from the serious consequences of heart disease through preventative care and early diagnosis. Our skilled cardiologists, among the best in the country, are all board certified, and most have additional advanced fellowship training in areas such as:

  • Echocardiography (sonogram of the heart);
  • Nuclear cardiology (noninvasive imaging);
  • Adult Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography (a sonogram obtaining various views of the heart);
  • Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (special x-rays to take clear images of the heart);
  • Electrophysiology (heart rhythm testing); and
  • Interventional Cardiology (minimally invasive procedures to treat blockages to the heart).

We are the only practice in the region providing state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic services, cardiac electrophysiology, and immediate access to a state-of-the-art catheterization lab. Our Rock Hill and Middletown facilities offer the only fully accredited echocardiography and nuclear cardiology labs in Sullivan County.

Our highly skilled community-based cardiologists perform both emergency and elective angioplasty, as well as other traditional and interventional cardiac procedures. What to Expect

When you make an appointment to see a heart specialist at Crystal Run Healthcare, a board-certified cardiologist will evaluate the health of your cardiovascular system. If you display signs of hypertensive heart disease or other conditions, the cardiologist will recommend further tests, lifestyle changes, and/or a course of treatment. If you require cardiac surgery, such as heart bypass surgery, your cardiovascular doctor may recommend that you see a cardiovascular surgeon. While typically a last resort, the highly-trained cardiovascular specialists at Crystal Run will see that you receive the best care using state-of-the-art techniques.
