What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I chose a career in medicine because it allows me the opportunity to engage intellectually and to connect with people.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose ob/gyn because it allowed me to care for patients throughout their lifetime and to meet their changing needs.

How do you connect with your patients?

First and foremost through listening; often with shared experiences and ultimately with general concern for their wellness.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I enjoy my family, yoga, triathlon training, gardening and reading.

What is your advice for your patients?

I stress that exercise and healthy eating are most important to wellness.
