What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I became a Family Nurse Practitioner because I truly enjoy providing care to people. My earliest memory of wanting to become a nurse was when I was about 6 years old.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I love the specialty of family practice because it gives me the ability to care for patients of all ages! I chose family practice because I desired caring for both pediatric and adult patients; as well as, providing care for the entire family.

How do you connect with your patients?

I connect to my patients by listening to them and treating them as I would want myself or a loved one treated.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Outside the office I enjoy spending time with my family. Activities I enjoy are: running, gardening, reading and coaching soccer.

What is your advice for your patients?

The importance in taking control of their health by committing to a lifetime of healthy choices.
