Middletown, N.Y. – June 13, 2016– Physicians and staff of Crystal Run Healthcare came together to fundraise for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. A total of $9,062 funds were raised by employees in a variety of ways including a practice-wide dress down day as well as numerous raffles. Including Crystal Run Healthcare’s corporate sponsorship, a grand total of $21,062 was donated to the American Cancer Society for five local Relays including Goshen, Newburgh, Pine Bush, Rockland County, and Sullivan County. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries come together to raise necessary funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay for Life movement. At these events, participants and survivors celebrate what they’ve overcome, remember those who have lost the battle against such a deadly disease, and honor those who have fought or are still fighting. The Relay for Life movement inspires all participants to take action against a disease that has taken too much.
