What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
When I went to High School, I already knew what I wanted to do. I don't know how it was started but I know that everything I did worked towards that goal.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
Interaction with people on a daily basis is why I wanted to be able to treat the whole person and not necessarily only focus on one system.
How do you connect with your patients?
By speaking with them, by being compassionate and by being a listener and not just a talker.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Outside of medicine, my family is my biggest interest and concern. I also like outings and traveling with friends and family alike. In addition, I attend church services and functions and like to cook for my family and friends.
What is your advice for your patients?
"One step at a time". Realize what needs to be done, make up your mind to do it and take it one step at a time.
