What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I enjoy the science behind medicine and interacting with patients. My earliest memory of wanting to be a doctor was in college while rotating and volunteering in different wards of a hospital.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
I love that neurology has many areas of active research, with new therapy and approaches to patient care. It is a growing field, because there is still so much to learn on how the brain functions. I chose this specialty so I can provide long-term care to help a variety of patients improve their quality of life.
How do you connect with your patients?
I talk about my patients' interests with them so they will hopefully feel more comfortable.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I love to travel the world to learn about different cultures and meet new people.
What is your advice for your patients?
I emphasize the importance of diet and exercise.
