Responsible for the accurate and timely credentialing and re-credentialing of new and existing providers with the Practice in accordance with Joint Commission and NCQA requirements, and with the following outside organizations/entities: community hospitals and medical centers; nursing homes; medical society; workmen’s compensation board; liability insurance carriers; and managed care organizations. In addition, the Specialist ensures that licensure in every state and jurisdiction, federal registrations, and board certifications remain intact and are current. 5+ years experience working with NCQA Accreditation Standards; health plan experience required. Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred.

Facilitated Enrollment Specialist - responsible for identifying prospective members that do not have health insurance and enroll them into one of the government programs offered by Crystal Run Health Plans (CRHP) such as Medicaid, Family Health Plus (FHP) and Child Health Plus (CHP). Intake Coordinator - responsible for providing support throughout the Medical Management units by providing telephone triage for all incoming phone calls, data entry services for clinical and non-clinical information, screening authorization requests, gathering necessary information, accepting Appeal and Grievance information, maintaining files and other duties as assigned by the Director of Medical Management and Quality Management.

The position requires thorough understanding of the business of health care, including insurance risk and provider reimbursement. Education or experience equivalent to a four-year degree in business, finance, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, computer science or other field with significant quantitative emphasis. At least (10) ten years of directly related professional experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
