Welcome to Nephrology at Crystal Run. At Crystal Run, our fellowship-trained nephrologists diagnose and treat all aspects of kidney disease, including acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease, kidney stones, hypertension (high blood pressure), hemodialysis, renal transplant (kidney transplant), and electrolyte disorders (mineral imbalance).

Our nephrology team is well-versed in treating patients with other disorders that affect the kidneys, such as systemic vasculitides (i.e., ANCA vasculitis, which damages blood vessels), autoimmune diseases (such as lupus), as well as congenital or genetic conditions, such as polycystic kidney disease. Our nephrology team includes a designated Clinical Hypertension Specialist, recognized by the American Society of Hypertension.

Nephrology is the branch of medicine that deals with the kidneys and kidney-related disorders. A kidney specialist, or renal doctor, may be called in to assess organ function or to treat potentially serious nephrology diseases such as kidney failure. Kidney disease treatment may include anything from medications to kidney dialysis and surgery.
