Welcome to Surgical Oncology at Crystal Run. Surgical Oncology is a branch of surgery which focuses on the surgical management of cancer. Our surgical oncologist, Dr. Howard Karpoff, was the first fellowship-trained surgical oncologist in the region. He is skilled in General and Laparoscopic surgery with a particular focus on Breast Surgery. Dr. Karpoff is dedicated to quality improvement and participates in the American Society of Breast Surgeons’ The Mastery of Breast Surgery Program - a voluntary quality improvement initiative designed to help surgeons document their clinical performance of breast procedures, as well as their care of breast cancer patients and patients at risk for breast cancer.
