About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I wanted to be an NP when I was 9 years old.  At the time, my 7 year old sister had a stroke and I saw doctors and nurses taking care of her.  At that moment, I felt like one day I would want to do the same, to save lives.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I love critical care (ICU/CCU).  It's my dream job to be a part of the critical care team.

How do you connect with your patients?

I put myself into my patient's shoes.  Thinking how I would feel, or what I would be like if I had the same illness, both emotionally and physically.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I love to swim, watch sports (baseball), and do all children's activities with my children.

What is your advice for your patients?

I always tell my patients that they're in charge of themselves.  So, taking care of yourself is my advice.
