What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
When asked in Kindergarten what I wanted to be when I grew up, my reply was: "A Pediatrician." I remember this as if it just happened.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
In Pediatrics, one has the unique opportunity to effect positive changes in patients that are harder to accomplish in the adult patients.
How do you connect with your patients?
Speaking plainly without confusing medical jargon and trying to walk a mile in their shoes.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Automotive and motorcycle maintenance. I was a skydiver for about 25 years. I enjoy playing with my two small dogs.
What is your advice for your patients?
Trust your gut feelings and instincts.
