About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I've always been drawn to helping others for as long as I can remember and going into medicine was the perfect way to make a career out of it.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

After growing up as a gymnast and working as a certified athletic trainer, orthopedics was a natural fit. As a Physician Assistant in orthopedics I get to work with patients both in the office and in the operating room which I love. Also, in orthopedics we get to guide the progression of getting patients better every day.

How do you connect with your patients?

I grew up in the same local community as the patients that I am now treating. That connection is always great to being able to provide a more personal level of care. Most importantly, I like to treat patients as I would want myself or my own family members and friends to be treated.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I love staying active in sports with my family and spending time with my husband, our children, and our Labrador Retriever.

What is your advice for your patients?

To stay as active and healthy as possible and to keep a positive attitude during the treatment process to help guide their outcome in a desirable direction.
