Afonso James, Facilities Lead Mechanic

When did you start working at Crystal Run Healthcare? 
I started working at CRHC 2010 at the 95 building.

What made you choose a career in this field?
I chose to work in facilities because I could work on HVAC systems and work in different areas of building maintenence, plumbing, electric etc. I also get to work with a bunch of talented people.

What is your biggest accomplishment within your career thus far?
I got the opportunity to be the first facilites lead in our first lean building in Newburgh! They were so impressed with my work, they asked me to start up our second lean building in West Nyack.

What is your favorite part about working at Crystal Run Healthcare?
My favorite part about Crystal Run Healthcare is when I go to buildings I have worked and all the staff tell me how much they miss me and praise the work I did when I was there.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I like to spend time with my family, watch movies, go to church and work my part-time Energy & Solar business with my wife.
