Crystal Run Healthcare Employees Donate Over Five-Hundred Toys to Children for Holidays

News/Releases

For the 17th consecutive year, Crystal Run Healthcare helped spread joy to many local children.  Providers and staff at Crystal Run purchased toys and other gifts that were then donated to children and families in need throughout Orange, Sullivan, and Rockland counties. In total, gifts for 505 children were donated to holiday drives organized by local charities including Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club, United Way of Sullivan County, Orange County Salvation Army, and Rockland County Salvation Army. Gifts included “wish list” items for the children such as books, clothing, dolls, games, puzzles, bikes, and more.

In 2002, employees at Crystal Run Healthcare started purchasing holiday gifts for donation to local charities, in the multiple counties they serve. Along with numerous other philanthropic programs that employees participate in and support throughout the year, the holiday toy drive is an especially important initiative – one that really makes an impact on every child who receives a gift.

“We know how uncertain the holidays can be for many families in the Hudson Valley. That’s why at Crystal Run, we try to help alleviate some of the worry from our neighbors and friends.   Our continued partnership with Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club, Orange County Salvation Army, Rockland Salvation Army, and United Way of Sullivan County during their holiday toy drives, helps us fulfill our mission of making the holidays a little brighter for families in need throughout our communities,” said Mary DeFreitas, Chief Human Resources Officer at Crystal Run.
