Crystal Run Healthcare Hosts Local Blood Drives in West Nyack & Middletown

News/Releases

Crystal Run Healthcare hosted two local blood drives to support the New York Blood Center (NYBC) on May 28th in West Nyack and May 29th at the Practice’s 155 Crystal Run Road location in Middletown. A total of 52 units of blood were collected from donors in an ongoing effort to address the critical blood shortage in the Hudson Valley. These recent blood drives mark the first two for Crystal Run this year. In 2018, employees of Crystal Run along with some community members donated a total of 117 pints of blood to the NYBC and the American Red Cross through five blood drives across multiple practice locations.

Another blood drive is scheduled for July:

“Our blood drive is continuing to grow here in West Nyack and we hope it will be become a tradition to come to our Crystal Run site and donate.  The next drive being held in West Nyack is September 3, 2019.  It is always nice to be able to help serve our community in this way,” said Kelly Maher, Regional Site Supervisor, Rockland County.

“The Middletown Crystal Run Healthcare Wellness Committee sponsored a Blood Drive at the 155 site. Both staff and patients donated 31 pints of blood which means 93 local area patients will receive the blood they need! In an effort to further help the blood shortage, we will hold another blood drive in August 2019. Thanks to all who participated,” said Eileen Hogan, Director of Operations, Middletown.
