Middletown, N.Y. – August 20, 2015 – Crystal Run Healthcare is pleased to welcome Kathleen Owens to the practice as its new Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer. In her new role as Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer, Ms. Owens will oversee the organization’s compliance, privacy and security efforts to ensure all policies, procedures and general operations comply with the growing regulatory requirements in the healthcare sector as well as the ethical standards set forth by the practice.
Ms. Owens joins Crystal Run Healthcare with over fifteen years of experience in healthcare administration with organizations such as White Plains Hospital, ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP, Montefiore Medical Center, and NYU Langone Medical Center. Prior to joining Crystal Run Healthcare, Ms. Owens spent over ten years with ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP where she held the title of Director of Regulatory Affairs and was responsible for overseeing the compliance program. Most recently, Ms. Owens was the Senior Director, Ambulatory Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at White Plains Hospital where she ran the compliance program for the Ambulatory and Physician Services Division. Ms. Owens earned her BA and graduated Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Oswego and earned her MBA in Health Care Administration from the City University of New York-Baruch College/Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association and is also a member of the Medical Group Management Association.
