Local Rockland Health Care Practice Employees Donate Over One-hundred and Twenty Toys to Salvation Army Toy Drive

News/Releases

Employees at Crystal Run Healthcare in West Nyack, Haverstraw, Stony Point and Suffern helped to make the holidays brighter for local children this season. Providers and staff purchased toys and other gifts that were then donated to children and families in need throughout Rockland County. Gifts included “wish list” items for the children such as books, clothing, dolls, games, puzzles, bikes, and more. In total, gifts for 125 children were donated to Rockland County Salvation Army.

Since 2002, employees at Crystal Run Healthcare have purchased holiday gifts for donation to local charities, in the multiple counties they serve. Along with numerous other philanthropic programs that employees participate in and support throughout the year, the holiday toy drive is an especially important initiative – one that really makes an impact on every child who receives a gift.

“We know how uncertain the holidays can be for many families in the Hudson Valley. That’s why at Crystal Run, we try to help alleviate some of the worry from our neighbors and friends.   Our continued partnership with Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club, Orange County Salvation Army, Rockland Salvation Army, and United Way of Sullivan County during their holiday toy drives, helps us fulfill our mission of making the holidays a little brighter for families in need throughout our communities,” said Mary DeFreitas, Chief Human Resources Officer at Crystal Run.
