Sullivan BOCES Visits Crystal Run Healthcare for Career Day

News/Releases

Students and teachers visited Crystal Run Healthcare’s Rock Hill Location

On Friday March 29th, 25 students and two instructors from Sullivan BOCES’ New Vison and Allied Health programs visited Crystal Run Healthcare to learn about health care careers from providers and staff. Multiple Crystal Run employees presented to students describing what they do, what educational training they completed for their respective position, and how they started at Crystal Run Healthcare. The students received a surprise presentation from Managing Partner and CEO of Crystal Run Healthcare, Hal Teitelbaum, MD, JD, MBA.

As part of the Sullivan BOCES Health Occupations program, New Vision Health and Allied Health programs allow high school seniors to explore careers in different areas of health care. Students have the opportunity to explore career choices, job shadow, build a professional portfolio and obtain certifications. The program is designed to help students interested in health care careers advance their skills to obtain a job or continue their education after high school.

“The Sullivan BOCES Health Occupation program is a great way for students to learn about careers in health care and explore their interests, all while learning the skills to either get a job after high school or continue their education. We love the opportunity to be a part of the students’ learning experience and look forward to continue working with Sullivan BOCES,” said Joan Patterson, Director of Operations at Crystal Run Healthcare Rock Hill.
