Employee Spotlight - Jackie Hughes, Patient Services Team Leader in Newburgh

When did you start working at Crystal Run Healthcare?
I started with CRHC 6/01/2009!

What made you choose a career in this field?
After working many years in the tech industry and with constant uncertainly it brought I wanted to find something that I felt was going to be more consistent as a career and something new.  I have always been interested in the medical community.

What is your biggest accomplishment within your career thus far?
I think the my biggest accomplishment is earning the respect and friendship of a wonderful group of people! From doctors to clinical staff and coworkers. I look back and I’m thankful for the opportunity to have worked in many of our different locations and have been a part of the opening of the 95 building and, of course, our Newburgh Lean building.

What is your favorite part about working at Crystal Run Healthcare?
I truly enjoy working with our patients and staff. If I can make things just a bit easier for our patients I feel like I have accomplished something good for that day.  I also have enjoyed growing with our lean buildings, seeing the future of medical care up front and personal.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Anyone who knows me knows I love to ride my bike, getting out in the mornings helps reduce stress from our everyday lives. Any chance I get to be outdoors is my kind of day! I can sit and paint a scene or photograph it - there is so much beauty in nature. And last but certainly not least, I love spending time with my 2 daughters and my 2 grandsons who I adore.
