Optum Radiology at Crystal Run Healthcare
We are proud to share that Optum has made a significant investment in our Radiology services to improve patient care and access to leading-edge technology.
Welcome to Pathology at Crystal Run. In our new state-of-the-art Histology and Cytology laboratory, our pathologists are able to study and diagnose diseases based on laboratory analysis of bodily fluids and biopsies, right on site.
Our board-certified pathologists are academically trained in anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as cytopathology (the study of disease at the cellular level).
Anatomic pathology is a medical specialty that studies the effect of disease on the organs and tissues of the body. Anatomic pathology doctors study the effects of disease on bodily organs as a whole (grossly) and at the microscopic level; they also look at how chemical and immunologic changes affect organs and tissues.
Clinical pathology is a medical specialty that deals with the diagnosis of a disease based on laboratory analysis of bodily fluids (such as blood and urine) and bodily tissues. Clinical pathology uses chemistry, microbiology, molecular pathology, and hematology in a pathology laboratory setting to study and diagnose diseases. Pathology tests are vital for helping doctors accurately diagnose and treat diseases.
Our pathologists are part of Crystal Run Healthcare and are able to work directly with your physicians to provide the best possible plan of care, along with accurate lab results and diagnoses.
