Why do you love working at Crystal Run Healthcare?

I love working at Crystal Run Healthcare because it has given me the opportunity to grow professionally. I love the people that I work with and getting to know my patients. It has also given me the ability to balance my work-home life.

What career path did you take to get to where you are today?

Two of my best friends were in the Allied Health programs at SUNY Orange, Dental Hygiene and Nursing. They encouraged me to look into the Diagnostic Imaging program and it sparked my interest. I cross-trained in CT while working at CRHC and St. Anthony’s Community Hospital in Warwick. A few years later I got my Bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership to learn more about the management aspect of our field. I highly recommend looking into those programs if you are unsure of what career path you want to take.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your field?

Work hard, pay your dues, and network. Create good relationships with everyone you meet. Radiology is a small field and everyone knows everyone.

How do you help shape the patient experience at CRHC?

We take care of patients often at their most vulnerable times in Radiology. Our goal is to provide comfort, be efficient and obtain quality imaging so that they can get the answers they need.
