What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I grew up with parents that were both physicians and would come home with great stories of healing patients. They inspired me to pursue medicine as a way to contribute to society and help others. My earliest memory of wanting to be a doctor was receiving an anatomy book as a child. More than any other subject, I had the most enjoyment out of learning about the human body and how it worked.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

As a Mohs surgeon, I have the distinct pleasure of having my patients walk into my clinic with cancer and walk out hours later cancer-free, with the highest cure rates of any medical specialist that treats cancer. There is nothing more satisfying than that.

How do you connect with your patients?

Although I’ve performed thousands of skin surgeries, I always remember that for most of my patients, it’s their first. I strive to provide bespoke, concierge-level care by walking them through every step of their day, allowing ample time for questions, and connecting with them personally during any downtime. I also share my direct phone number so they feel supported even after their visit.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Tennis, yoga, wellness and longevity, cooking

What is your advice for your patients?

Treating disease and curing cancer is a journey. Let’s take it one step at a time and work together as a team to get over the finish line.
