What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

My earliest memory is being inspired by my mother’s work as a nurse. From there, I developed a strong interest in the human body and a desire to promote health and wellness. I built my foundation through a background in nutrition, which helped shape my understanding of preventive care and healthy living. Wanting to further my ability to care for others, I pursued nursing and advanced my career to become a Nurse Practitioner.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

After years in acute care-first in bone marrow transplant and later in radiation oncology—I am excited to focus on early intervention. This allows for timely detection and proactive care, which improves outcomes and creates the best possible path forward for patients.

How do you connect with your patients?

I connect with patients by creating a warm, welcoming environment where they feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I believe trust starts with active listening, compassion, and meeting each patient where they are. My goal is always to build strong, trusting relationships so patients feel confident discussing their concerns and engaged in their care.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters. I love cheering them on at track meets and soccer games, coaching when I can, and creating meaningful family memories. I also value time with friends and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible.

What is your advice for your patients?

Prioritize prevention today for a healthier tomorrow. Early screening and proactive care can make a meaningful difference, and early detection plays a powerful role in long-term health and outcomes.
