About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

My father was a surgeon, and as a young girl, I admired his passion for medicine and his commitment to his patients. Having him as a role model allowed me to pursue my dream to become a physician.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose internal medicine because it encourages the physician to really understand the pathophysiology of the disease process and presents a diversity of cases. Being a primary care provider allows me to form bonds with my patients and treat them holistically for a long time.

How do you connect with your patients?

With honesty, humility, and clear communication. I treat patients with respect, understand their points of view, and help them achieve good health. I believe that in order to truly help patients it is important to enter their worlds and understand them as people first.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I like to sing. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, watching movies, and spending time with my kids also.

What is your advice for your patients?

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" - Benjamin Franklin
