What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

My entry into the healthcare field was motivated by my desire to have a positive physical, mental, and spiritual impact on people’s lives.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

As a Family Physician, I love engaging with patients and their families, ensuring patient satisfaction by being a good listener and asking patients about their needs. The right doctor-patient relationship is built on trust, respect, and communication, as well as a common understanding of both the doctor and patient’s needs and expectations. The words I live by are honesty, integrity, love and respect for others.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I beam with pride when I spend time with my family including my three grown children. I have been in ministry for over 25 years. I also enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, and writing exhortations.

What is your advice for your patients?

I explain to my patients that we are all on the same team. I value their input and feedback as it pertains to their healthcare and management.
