What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I knew I was interested in healthcare after volunteering on the ambulance corp in my community during high school. Ultimately, I went to nursing school and worked as a registered nurse. After working several years, I was excited to continue my education to be directly involved with diagnosis and management.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

After working in a hospital setting as a registered nurse, I knew I loved hospital medicine due to the broad range of pathology and acuity.

How do you connect with your patients?

I sit with each individual patient, actively listen, and create an atmosphere of open communication.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I enjoy family time, hiking, and going to the beach.

What is your advice for your patients?

Always ask questions regarding your health and take things one step at a time.
