What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I’ve been working in healthcare and healthcare-affiliated roles since high school. I became a registered nurse to help people while experiencing something new every day. After earning my BSN from Seton Hall University, I practiced as an RN for 11 years, five of those years with Crystal Run, including three closely working with gastroenterologists in the Endoscopy Department. I pursued my master’s in nursing to become a nurse practitioner so I could do even more for my patients and help them achieve health and wellness.
 

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

Much of my nursing career revolved around gastroenterology, making it a natural transition into my current role as a nurse practitioner.

How do you connect with your patients?

I strive to build trust and understanding by listening carefully and supporting their health goals with empathy and expertise.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I collect tropical house plants and am an avid reader.

What is your advice for your patients?

Hydrate, eat a balanced diet, find the joys in your life—and most importantly, don’t miss your colon cancer screening.
