About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I found my calling to become a doctor early on as I have always wanted to help people. It is very rewarding to see patients feel better from their illnesses – whether it be acute or chronic.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose primary care mainly due to continuity of care and preventive care. I rejoice in the fact that I can deliver continuous care for patients throughout their lives, but more importantly, I can also counsel patients to improve their lifestyle and decrease their cardiovascular risks.

How do you connect with your patients?

I take time to listen to their concerns and build relationships with patients in order to provide optimal care that is of high quality.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Family is very important to me. When I’m not in the office, I spend time with my family and enjoy the outdoors – hiking, kayaking, as well as going to aquariums and zoos.

What is your advice for your patients?

Laughter is the best form of medicine – it reduces stress and boosts your immune system.
