About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

I had always thought I would become a physician since I was a small child. At age 9, I was called "doc" by the people at the corner store. After a career as an artist after college, it was clear to me that this was the ethical choice I was at peace with. I am an idealist.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I adore solving puzzles and internal medicine revolves around this, whether it is a diagnosis or a challenging social situation. I also enjoy the more instant satisfaction of hospital medicine.

How do you connect with your patients?

I sit. I try to meet them where they are. I try not to be rushed in my time with them.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I was a modern dancer and am a fan of the arts. I play golf and ping pong with friends. I like to cheer on my son in cross country.
