About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I can't remember having an interest in any other profession. I like to meet people and help them as much as possible. I also love science. Practicing medicine allows me to achieve both.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
When I chose oncology as my specialty, I thought that the research that was taking place was the most interesting. The field is rapidly changing and I enjoy the challenge of doing new things. I also enjoy working as a team with my patients, their family and with other doctors. I also have the opportunity to watch people achieve success even though they originally had doubts about their personal strength and endurance.
How do you connect with your patients?
I try to connect on a personal level through shared interests.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I enjoy sports (I'm originally from Boston, so Boston sports teams only), good wine and going to restaurants.
What is your advice for your patients?
Take one day at a time and enjoy each day to the fullest.
