Crystal Run Healthcare’s Dr. Michelle A. Koury, presented Ashley Mathieu with the 2019 Crystal Run Healthcare Scholarship in the amount of $3,000 at the Wallkill East Rotary Club’s breakfast on July 16th. This year marks the fifteenth consecutive year that Crystal Run has offered their healthcare scholarship administered by the Wallkill East Rotary Club to a local graduating senior. In addition to this year’s scholarship given to Ms. Mathieu, Crystal Run has donated a total of nearly sixty thousand dollars to local high school graduates pursuing their college studies in a healthcare related field.
Ashley Mathieu is a 2019 graduate of Pine Bush High School. This fall, Ms. Mathieu will attend the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY, where she will major in Nursing in hopes of becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Ms. Mathieu was selected to receive this scholarship based on her desire to pursue a medical career as well as her academic performance and her community involvement.
