Meet Dana Roca, Care Optimization Team Coordinator

Why do you love working at Crystal Run Healthcare?

I love working at Crystal Run Healthcare because I have been given the opportunity to grow my career here. I have had the pleasure of working alongside some of the most wonderful coworkers that have become a second family to me.  

What career path did you take to get to where you are today?

While working at Crystal Run Healthcare I was able to graduate with my bachelor's In Health Care Management and work my way up. I started at the radiology front desk where I learned all the aspects of checking in patients, insurances, and scheduling diagnostic imaging exams. I have worked as an Ultrasound Liaison where I have gotten to learn how our technologists and radiologists work alongside one another to give our patients the best care. I was promoted to Patient Services Supervisor during the pandemic where I learned how to lead, handle conflict, and assist in various ways of patient safety. Currently, I’m the Care Optimization Team Coordinator where I work closely with our insurance payers to ensure our patients are getting the quality care they need.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your field?

Make a goal, and don’t stop until you get there. Many of us become comfortable in our day-to-day activities. I have had the pleasure of taking a leap into many different positions within Crystal Run Healthcare that have all taught me a new piece of healthcare. By doing this, I have gained the knowledge to continue to grow within the company.

How do you help shape the patient experience at CRHC?

Patients ultimately want someone who will listen to them. I am personable, friendly and helpful with any patient I encounter at Crystal Run Healthcare. The goal is to provide a service that the patient is satisfied with.
