Meet Susan Hallinan, Patient Services Supervisor, 95 Middletown

Why do you love working at Crystal Run Healthcare?

Working at Crystal Run Healthcare has given me the opportunity to learn the significance of quality healthcare and its importance to our community. I am given the ability to make a huge difference in patient experience no matter how small the contribution. I am proud to be a part of the Crystal Run family and the sense of camaraderie we share as an organization.

What career path did you take to get to where you are today?

I started at CRHC as a Patient Services Representative 14 years ago and worked my way up to a Patient Services Team Lead. I was then promoted to my current position as a Patient Services Supervisor.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your field?

Being a great patient services representative starts with compassion and great customer service. You never know what battle someone is facing, showing kindness and empathy goes a lot further than than you think.

How do you help shape the patient experience at CRHC?

Patients need support in many different ways. I am able to be an advocate for our patients, listening to their concerns and taking action to correct a problem they may be experiencing. I love to problem solve and figure out solutions for patients communication concerns. No matter how simple or difficult the problem, I am here to help!
