When did you start working at Crystal Run Healthcare?

 I joined Crystal Run Healthcare two years ago in November 2016.

What made you choose a career in this field?

I come from a family of nurses. My mother is a nurse. I remember when I was younger she would always come home from work and tell us about her day. She was always exhausted, but happy. Nursing is challenging and stressful, but also so gratifying. It has allowed me to care for others, teach and make a difference (no matter how small!) in the lives’ of our patients. And pediatrics has always been my dream department because I love working with kids.

What is your biggest accomplishment within your career thus far?

I would say my biggest accomplishment within my career is the rapport I’ve built with the patients and families here in the Haverstraw office. Going to the doctor can cause anxiety at any age, but I feel that is more so the case for pediatrics. I’ve found that really taking the time to explain things to the patients (not just the parents!) in a way they understand not only helps alleviate some of their anxiety but also helps to establish a trusting relationship between patients, their families and myself.

What is your favorite part about working at Crystal Run Healthcare?

My favorite part about working at Crystal Run Healthcare is working with the team we have here in the Haverstraw office. No matter how crazy the schedule gets or understaffed we are, we always come together as a team to get through the day without sacrificing the quality of care our patients receive.

What do you like to do outside of work?

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and dog. I also enjoy going to new places and catching up with my family and friends.
