About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

My earliest memory is of telling my friends to wear sunscreen in high school. I come from a medical family and have always loved sciences. However, it wasn't until I was in medical school that I truly understood why I wanted to be a dermatologist.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I love the direct patient-physician relationship. I see patients of all ages, from newborns to great grandparents, so I get to meet the whole family. These relationships can last for years and became deeply personal as I watch kids grow or families expand over time. Dermatology is also a very wide-ranging field. I am able to incorporate oncology, surgery, pediatrics, pathology, and autoimmunity into my practice.

How do you connect with your patients?

Patients may share deeply personal and private details with me and as a result we build a lot of trust. It's a privilege to be entrusted with this responsibility and I rely on clear communication and transparency to help the patient feel empowered by their care.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Being outdoors is healing for the mind and body. My husband and I try to enjoy the outdoors as much as we can with our daughter. We love the beautiful moments and lovely small towns of Upstate New York and the Hudson Valley.

What is your advice for your patients?

Wear sunscreen! Preferably broad-spectrum SPF 30 or more. It is cheap, accessible and will help reduce your risk of skin cancer, sunburns and wrinkles.
